Production Assistant
Ian Carlsen is a freelance producer living in Pownal, Maine. Non-fiction work includes: the much-lauded 2016 graffiti feature film, Year-round Metal Enjoyment, the Jacek Laskus (AFI) directed short film Picnic and a Little Mutiny, and the autobiographical slow-birding meditation series The Bird Dad Podcast. Originally a muti-disciplinary theater artist, Ian earned his BA in Theater from the University of Southern Maine, and cut his teeth writing, organizing, and preforming in dozens of DIY theater projects in Portland, ME. He now applies his talents to producing film and commercial projects for a diverse array of clients including brands like MassMutual, SHARK, the Magnolia Network, Dunkin', and more. Ian has a deep love for storytelling in all its varied forms, and takes great pleasure in helping others to discover the power of narrative in their own lives.
